How to change your Maxis Fibre Internet Wifi SSID and Password

Step 1: Identify your Wireless Router model

This is important as different wireless router use different login IP address. This guide is for Maxis Home Fibre customer who use Thomson TG4784N supplied by Maxis as pictured below:

Step 2: Connect to the wireless router

If you forgot your password, then you need to have network cable. Connect network cable from your PC/laptop to the back of the wireless router. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer/Google Chrome/Firefox) and type: 192.168.1.254 and you will see below page:

Step 3: Changing the Wifi SSID and Password

First, go to the “Home Network” tab on the left page and click “Interface”:

It will bring you to a page below and from there click at WLAN:

Click “Configure” on top right of the page:

In this page you can finally change your Wifi SSID and password. 1) Your Wifi SSID (example “My Home Wifi”) 2) your Wifi password (make sure you write it down somewhere so in case you forgot it!) 3) Click “Apply” after you finish. DONE!
